Sekelo lot

You can make sekelo lot / roasted flour and store it for a year. Check my blog to see various recipes from sekelo lot. My favourite is "Dhekra".

This is usually made during peak summer.

Wheat grain: 1kg
Rice grain: 1/2 kh
Toor dal/ yellow lentils: 1cup
Mung dal/ yellow mung dal: Handful
Methi seeds/ fenugreek seeds: 1-2 tbs

Clean all the grains to check for stones. Separately keep grains in sun for 2-4 hours.
Dry roast wheat grain till they are slightly pink. This will leave out nice aroma.
Dry roast dal together with methi seeds till dal turns slightly pink and leave out nice aroma.
Dry roast rice grain till they are slgihtly off white and start to change color.
Mix together all grains and in the flour mill make coarse flour.

Use this flour in sekelo lot recipe.
