Chiku is tropical fruit and it is very sweet when fully ripen. It is called Sapodilla in English (I think). It is dark brown and can be eaten with or without skin. It has seed in the middle and it is not edible.
Ingredients:
Ripe chiku: 2-4
Cardamom powder: 1 tea spoon
Instant coffee powder: 1-2 tea spoon
Drinking chocolate: 1 table spoon
Sugar: as per your taste
Milk:1.5 cups
Vanilla or chocolate ice cream (optional)
Preparation:
Wash and peel the skin off chiku. Cut into small pieces by removing the skin,seeds and the white part from it.
Add coffee powder,
drinking chocolate powder, cardamom powder, sugar and milk to the bowl. With a hand blender crush it until fine smooth shake. Or add all of it into blender and crush it.
To make it more rich add vanilla or chocolate ice cream scoop to the shake.
Enjoy for breakfast or late noon drink.
