Masala papad

This is very common recipe but with less fat.

Papad: 4
Ghee: 1tbs
Onion: 1small
Tomato: 1small
Chat masala to taste
Red chili powder: 1/2 tbs
Coriander: 12-15 leaves
Freshly crushed pepper
Microwave / flat pan

Peel and finely chop onions. Wash, dry and finely chop tomatoes and coriander. Mix together. Add 1/2 tbs of red chili powder. Mix well.

Apply thin layer of oil on top of each papad. Place one papad at a time in microwave for 1 minute and check after 30 seconds. If papad is uncooked place for further 30 seconds. Repeat until papad is cooked. Application of ghee on papad is going to give you fried papad taste. You can choose not to apply ghee at all.

If microwave is not available heat the flat pan and place papad with surface with ghee at the bottom and light press papad until cooked from both sides.

Take cooked papad place the side with ghee on top in serving plate. Sprinkle lightly with chat masala. Papad and chat masala are high in salt and too much salt is not good for health so do not exceed salt intake.

Spread out onion, tomato salad on the top and sprinkle with freshly crushed pepper.
