Make this pulav when you are up for a spicy treat. I bet you lick your plate.

Ingredients:
Basmati rice: 1.5 cup
Potato: 1 medium
Onion: 1 medium
Red capsicum: 1/2
Green chili: 4
Garlic and ginger paste: 1 table spoon
Garam masala: 1/2 tea spoon
Chole masala: 1/2 tea spoon
Punjabi garam masala: 1/2 tea spoon
Pav bhaji masala: 1/2 tea spoon
Ghee: 1-2 tea spoon
Oil: 2 tea spoon
Cumin seeds / jeera: 2 tea spoon
Black pepper: 1/2 tea spoon
Cinnamon stick: 1 inch
Salt to taste

Preparation:
Wash potato and cut it into small pieces. Peel onion and cut it into small pieces. Wash and cut green chilies. Wash pepper and cut it into pieces.

You can add any vegetables you want but avoid sweet ones like carrots, green peas etc. You can add cauliflower, green beans etc.

Heat pressure cooker or large pot with lid. Add 1-2 tea spoon of oil and 1-2 tbs of ghee. Add cinnamon stick, black peppers, cumin seeds once they splutter add garlic and ginger paste. Add onions, potato and capsicum and mix well in the oil. Now add Green chilies and mix well. Add basmati rice and mix well so each rice is coated with oil. Take it off the heat and add all the masalas. Garam, pav bhaji, chole and punjabi garam masala. Now add twice the water and add salt to taste.

Before closing the lid add few drops of ghee for extra flavor. Cook on medium flame for 12-15 minutes and check after 12 minutes if rice is cooked remove it from flame and serve hot.

This is very good to carry in lunchbox too. My husband just loved it :).
