Onion paratha

Ingredients:
Whole wheat flour: 2 cups
Onion: 1 small
Green chili: 4-6
Salt to taste
Water
Oil

Preparation:
Peel and fine chop onions.
Fine chop green chilies.
Mix flour, onion, chili, and salt to taste. Mix everything together. Add 4-5 tbs of oil. Now knead dough by adding water and keep it slightly hard.

Cover the dough with moist cloth or cooking tissue and set aside for 5minutes. After 5 minutes remove dough from the cloth and gently press it to give it uniform texture. Divide the dough in about 6 balls.

Heat the pan on medium-high flame. Roll the ball to make thick paratha of approximately 3 inch radius. Put paratha onto the pan once it is hot. Check the side once slightly cooked flip onto other side. Apply 1tbs of oil on to the slightly cooked side. Now turn again and apply oil. Gently press paratha on the surface so it cooks nicely. Paratha is thick and it should be oiled nicely and cooked on medium flame nicely otherwise it will be cooked from outside and uncooked from inside and you will not enjoy it.

Once the paratha is cooked repeat the same for rest of the balls and enjoy. To enhance the taste, cook paratha in butter or ghee.

This parathas can be enjoyed hot or cold. This is very good dish for lunch box and can be enjoyed with pickle or yogurt.
