Tempered cabbage salad

Cabbage is not my favourite vegetable. When I buy cabbage I do think of ways to finish it off. It is amazing how many recipes you can make out of it and you still can't finish one cabbage. Tempered cabbage is very tasty and yummy. Can eat just by itself or with any Indian meal.

Ingredients:
Cabbage: 1 small piece (50gms)
Mustard seeds: 1 tea spoon
Red chili powder: 1 tea spoon
Asafoetida: pinch
Salt to taste
Lime juice: few drops
Oil: 1-2 tea spoon

Preparation:
Wash and chop cabbage into thin slices.
Heat small round vessel for tempering.
Add oil and once its hot add mustard seeds, asafoetida red chili powder and when mustard starts to splutter add to the cabbage.
Add salt to taste and few drops of lime juice. Mix well.
Add in serving bowl and serve with meal.
