Khajoor chutney

Khajoor/ Dates: 8-10
Imali/ tamarind paste: 2tbs or lemon juice of 1/2 lemon.
Salt to taste
Red chili powder: 2 tbs
Jeera/ cumin seed

Roast cumin till they leave smell and change color. Crush it to powder.

Remove the seed from khajoor and wash them. Boil till they are soft. Roughly 10 minutes in microwave. Strain water and let it cool .

In blender add boiled khajoor and crush it to fine paste. Add water if necessary. Now sieve it to remove all lumps. Crush again if necessary to avoid wastage of khajoor.

Add it to blender with tamrind paste/ lime juice, red chili powder, salt to taste and cumin powder. Mix well.

Khajoor chuntey is ready.

This chutney is good for those who can not eat tamarind. This chutney goes well with chaat, pani puri, ragda pettis, dahi wada etc.
