Green beans ki sabzi

This is one the classic maharastrian style green bean sabzi. I hope you enjoy this. This is one of the quick recipe. Very easy to make especially during morning when my husband is getting late for work and I am in hurry to cook his lunch box.

Ingredients:
Green beans: 250 gms
Onion: 1 small
Tomato: 1 small
Mustard seeds: 1 tbs
Hing / asafoetida: pinch
Desiccated coconut: 2 tbs
Curry leaves: few
Green chili: 2-3
Garlic: 2 cloves
Turmeric powder: 1 tbs
Ghanna jeera / corinder and cumin powder: 2-3 tbs
Salt to taste
Sugar: pinch
Goda masala / garam masala: 1/2 tbs

Preparation:
Wash and remove ends from green beans. Cut beans into small pieces. Boil them for 5-7 minutes. Drain off water.

Peel onion and fine chop it. Wash tomato and fine chop it. Peel garlic and cut it into thin flakes.
Wash and cut green chilies into small pieces.

Heat the pan. Add 1-2 tbs of oil. Add mustard seeds and when splutters add hing, curry leaves, garlic and chili.

After a minute add onions. Saute till translucent. Add beans, tomato, coconut grated. Mix well. Add turmeric powder, ghana jeera powder, salt to taste, pinch of sugar. Mix well. add tomatoes. Now add little bit of goda masala or garam masala powder.

Mix well. After 1-2 minutes sabzi is ready. Serve with roti or dal rice. You will really love this :).
