Potato kapa

Ingredients:
Rava, (Fine semolina): 1 cup
Red chilli powder: 2 tbs
Turmeric powder: 1tbs
Salt to taste
Potato: 2 large

Preparation:
Mix rava, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt.
Wash potato. Peel the skin if you want. I generally prefer to leave the skin on. Cut the potato into 3 mm thick slices.
Heat the flat pan on medium high flame.

Sprinkle few drops of water on slices if potato is too dry so that rava mixture sticks well on the slices. Roll potato slices in the mixture such that there is a nice coating of rava on each slice.
Place slices on hot pan. Add 1 to 2 tea spoon of oil from the sides of each slice and few drops of oil on the slices. Cover the pan with a lid. Cook it on medium high flame. If you want to use less oil add few drops of water this will give steam and help potato cook.
After 2-3 minute check the bottom side, if not cooked leave it for another minute or 2. Cook each side till it is brown, crisp and fully cooked. Insert knife in the slices to check if slices are cooked. Add more oil or drops of water to cook if required.
Repeat the same for remaining slices of potato.

Serve hot and enjoy with tomato catchup.
You can make kapa with other vegetables:
Cauliflower, raw jackfruit, raw banana etc. Just use your imagination :).
